Last night Jamie, Chuck & I went to see Wicked at the Apollo Theatre in London. It's across the street from the Victoria Tube & Train station, which, at 5:30 was jammed! We had trouble finding Jamie, partly due to the hoards of commuters, partly due to our general ineptness when it comes to navigating our way around! Dinner before the show was at a small Italian restaurant with good food & very fast service.
The theatre was large and our seats were in the dress circle, which was sharply pitched - no views of your neighbor's head but I thought I'd hit the man in front of me with my knees! We got the tickets through a tour company & saved 33 pounds each. The stage was great and one of the main characters was marvelous. The rest of the company was adequate and that was a disappointment. Overall, however, I'm glad we went!
